Rain Barrels are in, big rain a' comin'!

Hope all you Moms out there had a great Mothers Day, I know I did, I went out and claimed two River Birch's as my own, along with some twine, a few annuals for the pots on the deck and 3 - 50' garden hoses (for the rain barrels). This week we are trying to prepare for my youngest daughters party this weekend. With that includes a list a mile long of work to do around the house and the yard, not to mention the 700 sq ft patch of freshly tilled Earth in the back that needs to be planted. I also received some bean and parsley seeds from my friend Shantress in the mail.
I have the 3 rain barrels painted, Scottie installed 2 last night! The last one will go in tonite. I also have an idea to recover an old swing we bought from one of this big box stores a few years back. Here is my idea: a spool of 20 lb test fishing line, a new 12' x 9' canvas painting tarp and a big thick needle. Ill try it anyway!
Pictured Here: The Soup barrel and the Paisley barrel workin in the rain. Note: They were full in just a few hours or so, but that's a good sign that they are doing what they are supposed to do!

You have done such a wonderful job painting your rain barrels. So cute and different. They really come in handy for watering plants. They like it much better that well water. I use mine all the time until it runs dry in late summer. Sounds like you are going to be very busy :-)
